BECOMING A FALCONER IN NORTH CAROLINA! THE FIRST STEPS!

On Saturday April 5, 2025 join the NC Falconers Guild and NC Wildlife Resources Commission staff to learn the process of becoming a licensed falconer in North Carolina.

We will discuss the regulations, and detail the process involved in getting your falconry license. All of the steps involved will be discussed along with the things to consider before you start this journey. Falconers from around the state will be present to meet one-on-one along with their birds. This program is designed for people who are thinking about getting into the sport and to let you network directly with the people that you will need to help you start the journey.

We want as many falconers with birds in attendance as possible to meet the students. We are going to try and find opportunities for prospective apprentices to meet falconers near where they live. This does not commit anyone to be a sponsor, just giving some networking opportunities.

RSVP

April 5, 2025 from 9am-3pm (approximately)

Wake County Wildlife Clubhouse 1313 Coley Rd, Durham, NC

A cost of $15 will be charged to student attendees to help cover expenses. Presenters and falconers bringing a bird are free.

Lunch will be Subway style sandwiches, drinks, and chips
